29 October, Jammu: Both Alpha Productions Cricket Club (APCC) and Hill View Rajouri secured their places in the finals of the Kashmiri Pandit Cricket League (KPCL) Season-III today by claiming decisive victories over their opponents in the semifinal matches. The championship match will take place tomorrow at Country Cricket Stadium Gharota in Jammu and will be organised by Safran Cricket Club.

APCC breezed through their match against One Team One Dream (OTOD) XI to win the first semifinal that was played today by a score of 5 wickets.

While batting first, OTOD XI was able to accumulate a respectable total of 164 runs in the allotted 20 overs, despite suffering the loss of 6 wickets. The game was won by Shubam Sharma, who had the highest score with 44 runs off of 32 balls, including two fours and two sixes.

Utkarsh Koul of APCC claimed two wickets while allowing 21 runs during the course of his four overs.

In their reply, APCC successfully chased the target in 18.3 overs despite suffering the loss of 5 wickets. As a result, they won the match by a margin of 5 wickets. Deepak produced a forceful 43 runs off of only 16 balls, while Sarthak Peshin led the team in scoring with 46 runs off of 44 balls. His innings was punctuated by four fours and two sixes.

Ajay took three wickets for the OTOD XI team, while Arun Zalpuri took two wickets for his side.

Sarthak Peshin was recognised as the game’s most valuable player on account of the outstanding batting performance he put throughout.

In the other match for the semifinals, Hill View Rajouri prevailed against RS Cricket Club by a score of 10 wickets.

The RS Cricket Club was all out after scoring 108 runs after batting first for 19.3 overs. Vinod Ji had the highest score with 23 runs, which he achieved off of 17 balls and was punctuated by three fours.

Anuj was the best of the bowlers for Hill View Rajouri. He took four wickets despite allowing 16 runs to score during his four overs. Vicky Raina and Gourav Koul both took three wickets despite allowing 7 runs to score during their respective four overs. Gourav Koul also took three wickets during his 3.3 overs.

In their reply, Hill View Rajouri comfortably chased down the mark in 11.3 overs without losing a single wicket, resulting in a victory by 10 wickets over their opponents. Both Vimarsh Kaw and Sidharth Bhat scored fantastic fifties because to their outstanding grit and perseverance on the field. While Vimarsh got 51 runs off 33 balls with 8 sparkling boundaries, Sidharth hit 52 runs off 36 balls with 9 scrumptious boundaries.

The outstanding bowling performance that Anuj delivered in earned him the title of man of the match.
